Children not comfortable with reading out loud had practiced in front of an audience

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- Children who aren't quite comfortable with reading out loud had the chance to practice in front of an audience Wednesday.

The Please Touch Museum invited visitors to grab a book and tell a story to a therapy dog.

The PAWS for Reading event is considered the perfect learning environment, because the animals don't make the children feel embarrassed if they stumble.

In turn, the pups get a relaxing afternoon, and a chance to steal some hugs and kisses.
